This film is a portrait of an artist whose work is rooted in imagination, perseverance and giving back. It follows San B as he creates his largest artwork to date, a crystal portrait of Amir Khan made with more than 40,000 Swarovski crystals. Beyond the scale and spectacle of the piece, the film reveals what can happen when creative ambition is given a purpose greater than itself.

Who We Made It For
San B is a London artist known for creating intricate works with Swarovski crystals. His journey began with crystal encrusted fashion and grew into commissions for internationally recognised figures. At the heart of his work is a belief in dreaming big, working hard and using his talent in service of others.
How It Began
San approached us while working with Amir Khan on a special commission for the Amir Khan Foundation. The artwork was being created to raise money for charity and would also appear in the BBC series Meet the Khans. He wanted us to tell the story behind the piece, from his creative journey and connection with Amir to the purpose that brought them together.
Behind the Lens
We built the film around San’s own reflections, allowing his character and conviction to lead the story.
We captured the unveiling with Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom in Bristol, alongside an interview with Amir about his achievements and the new television series.
By bringing these moments together with the detail and scale of the artwork, the film connects the patience of San’s process with the values of dedication, self-belief and charitable service that he and Amir share.
The Finished Film
The finished artwork helped raise £48,000 for charity. The film preserved more than the unveiling itself, giving audiences a closer understanding of the hundreds of hours of work, more than 40,000 crystals and deeply personal beliefs behind the piece. It became a record of a significant moment in San’s journey, where art, recognition and generosity came together.
